Also, a music therapist must have great interpersonal and communication skills. A music therapist who is not able to communicate properly would find it difficult to achieve progress in the long run.

Good communication skills helps the therapists to have a good idea of what the client is going through. With this information, it would be easy for the therapist to draw out a treatment schedule.

Furthermore, it is necessary for a music therapist to have good musical ability. This ability is what forms the core of music therapy. Creativity and intuition should also not be left out, the therapist is expected to exude all these.
